THE NEW 2011 TOYOTA RAV4.
The 2011 Toyota RAV4 one of the most practical and family-friendly SUVs in the market now with a powerful V6 engine and a seating for up to seven with a more sophisticated look (Exterior) with the only possible let down of this sporty looking SUV is it interior which feels cheap compared to the competition in Honda CV-R and Chevrolet Equinox.
On safety the 2011 Toyota RAV4 has a comprehensive list of safety features including driver and front passenger, front seat-mounted side airbags and front- and second-row roll-sensing side curtain airbags which are similar 2010 model which were highly passed as secure.
Toyota RAV4 has the combination of size, fuel economy a four-wheel drive and utility. With the RAV4 regarded as the model that took compact SUVs from a niche product for off-road enthusiasts to family-friendly station wagon, the 2011 Toyota RAV4 continues with that tradition.
Spacious, comfortable and easy to drive, the 2011 Toyota RAV4 is a top pick for a small-to-midsize crossover SUV, that is if you want a V6 or a usable kid-size third-row seat. The RAV4 offers some features competitors can’t match. Its design has not chanced to date but a redesign is rumored for 2012 model.
The optional V6 engine is more powerful than most other engines in the class, but still gets pretty good fuel economy. The optional third-row seat also helps the RAV4 stand out, it’s cramped and best for kids, but it does give the RAV4 a leg up on the competition when it comes to carpool duty.
While the RAV4 launched the segment, the competition is starting to catch up with several other options in the class offering a nicer interiors with appealing features and lower prices. But you will still be happy with the RAV4.
Some of the RAV4 competitors include the Honda CR-V which doesn’t have an optional third row, but with a nicer interior. Plus the CR-V’s cargo area is easily to accessible. If you’re considering the V6 engine the CR-V doesn’t have that option. Hovever, compared to a four-cylinder RAV4, the CR-V is tough competition.
Though the Chevrolet Equinox is worth about $1,000 more than the RAV4 but its good value for the extra money. It beats the RAV4’s base highway fuel economy and an up-to-date interior, with more standard features. Like the RAV4, it has optional a four-wheel drive and an optional V6 that’s good on gas.
